Matthew represents owners, contractors, and subcontractors in construction-related disputes. His practice focuses on all stages of construction litigation. In addition to handling matters from the initial pleading through final judgment, he has extensive hands-on experience managing electronic discovery, developing and implementing ESI protocols, and coordinating complex document productions. He also assists clients in post-judgment and post-arbitration recovery efforts, including discovery in aid of execution, proceedings supplementary, fraudulent transfer actions, garnishment, domestication of foreign judgments, and other enforcement proceedings.

Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from the Stetson University College of Law, where he served as a Teaching Assistant for Trial Advocacy, received the Victor O. Wehle Award for excellence in trial advocacy, and earned book awards in Administrative Law and Trial Advocacy. Before joining Kirwin Norris, he worked as a law clerk for a regional insurance defense firm, assisting with matters involving construction defect, premises liability, property insurance coverage, bodily injury claims, and auto glass litigation.

A native of South Florida, Matthew earned both a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Health, Life, and Biomedical Sciences) and a Master of Emergency and Crisis Management from the University of Central Florida. Prior to law school, he worked in local government emergency management and served as a residential student conduct graduate coordinator at UCF.

Outside of his practice, Matthew enjoys visiting Orlando’s theme parks and local restaurants while spending time with his partner, family, and their Chiweenie, Goofy.
